Elk Rapids High School Groundbreaking Ceremony

On April 27, Elk Rapids community members and project partners gathered along with Elk Rapids administrators, staff, and board member to celebrate the start of construction at the high school. This site will be home to the school’s new gymnasium.

Thank you to the Elk Rapids school board and community for making this day possible. We are excited to see this new athletic facility come to life.

In addition to the new gymnasium, other high school projects include:

• Upgrading administrative spaces

• Converting an old classroom into a multi-purpose space

• Four tennis courts

• Improvements to the school’s performing arts infrastructure

• Mechanical upgrades

• New locker rooms

• Resurfacing the track

• New secure building entrances

• Improvements to vehicular traffic flow for busses, drop-off, and parking
